This is the first game you will play on your day. A fast paced game designed to wake you up and get you used to the fact that people are trying to shoot you. Don’t worry, there’s loads of cover. The game is filled wooden barricades and big tractor tires. The red team will start on one side the blue team on the other. All you have to do is wipe out the other team before they do the same to you.
The defending team must defend the bunkers from overwhelming enemy attack, The enemy gets to respawn. If an attacking soldier is shot then they simply return to base and start again. The attackers need to get a bomb from the start point into the main bunker in under ten minutes. If the defenders can hold out until the ten minute whistle their team will be victorious. The clock does not stop ticking until the bomb goes into the bunker. It sounds easy, except for the fact that the defenders will be trying to stop the attackers from inside the bunkers. It takes a brave soldier to brake cover and make the last 30 foot dash to drop the bomb through the bunker firing ports.
A very fast paced game lasting only five minutes. Both teams respawn if hit. Not a lot of cover with a lot open ground. In the middle of the game is a barricade with two paddles at either end. All you have to do is shoot the enemy’s paddle down, whilst keeping yours up. If your paddle is knocked down, you have to send a brave volunteer to put it back up again. The team with their paddle up on the 5 Minute whistle wins.
Set on the same area as D-Day but this time in reverse. One team has a nominated player as their VIP. The VIP will be given a military flack jacket. The objective is then simple. Get your VIP to the opposite end of the woods for extraction. If your VIP is hit anywhere other than his or her flack jacket they are dead and the game ends. If any of the VIP’s defenders are hit however they return to base and continue pushing toward the enemy forces in an attempt to get the VIP to the extraction. The opposing team will have a single life but they do start in a heavily defensible fort from which to take out the enemy VIP.
Played on the Tires gaming area. In the middle of the gaming area is a small bunker with 15 paddles attached to it. The defenders must shot down at least 10 of the paddles and keep them down whilst the attackers are trying to keep them up until the 10 minute whistle. The defenders have one very brave soldier as a medic, they will have a flack jacket (They are going to need it) The defenders are not allowed past the halfway point. If they are shot, instead of respawning or going out of the game, They will drop to the floor where they are hit and start shouting for the Medic. They can not run to cover or shoot until the medic has ‘Healed them’ by taping them on their shoulder and bringing them back to life. The Medic can not die, hence the flack jacket. If the attackers are shot they go back to the start point and respawn. This game is won and lost on the medics bravery.
In this game there is a impassable wall across the playing area. With a ten foot wide Breach in the middle of it. All the attackers need to do is get through the breach and kill all the defenders in under ten minutes. Easy enough, except the defenders are waiting for them in excellent defensive positions all aiming at the breach. The attackers will respawn to simulate a mass attack, and the defenders will die if hit.
This will be the last game, played on the Tires area just in front of the Safe Zone. This is a death match. All against all, no one dies. You only die if you want to die, last player standing. You will all start in with your hand on the Landover in the middle of the playing area. On the first whistle you run, on the second whistle you start firing. The last player to give up is victorious.
This is the last game of the day. A bit of gladiatorial sport for the baying masses when we have stag or hen party’s . A nice little treat for the Stag or Hen and the Best man or Brides maid. We give them both 50 balls each. The rope is twenty foot long with a handle at each end. The rules are simple, when the whistle blows you start firing, the first player to drop the rope loses.

Q. I have heard that it hurts , is that true?
A. Yes, but not too much, that’s the fun part. If it did not hurt, you would not duck. Depending on your pain threshold, where you are hit, and how close the shooter was will determine how much it hurts. Baring in mined we have eleven-year-olds playing. Its not that bad. At worst it feels like a bee sting.
Q. Will I get bruised?
A. Not necessarily, in most cases, a hit leaves a small red mark. They can however sometimes bruise and very occasionally break the skin.
Q. Is paintball safe?
A. Yes, as long as you follow all the safety instructions, and the instructions of the marshals, playing paintball is incredibly safe. Statistically it is safer than playing football or tennis.
Q. I have my own paintball equipment can I use it?
A. Yes as long as they are designed for paintball. Any goggles will be checked for safety, and guns will be choreographed to check that your gun is firing under 280Fps
Q. Can I bring my own paintballs? I can get them cheaper on the net.
A. No you cannot bring your own paintballs to our site. Some sites do let people bring them on special walk on days. This is when everyone is providing their own paint and equipment. You have to remember that you are not just paying for the paintballs, that’s just a small part of it. You are paying to have a realistic military experience within in a safe and fun filled purpose built environment, whilst under the supervision of professional safety marshals.
Q. What are paintballs made from?
Its no longer paint in the ball, its now polyethylene glycol. Basically food colouring.
Q. What clothes should I wear ?
A. Old dark clothing, that you don’t mind getting dirty. Even though you will be given coveralls you will still more than likely finish looking like you have just come off a sports field. Depending on how close you are when you get shot, the paint some times goes through the coveralls and can stain light coloured clothing. Also solid footwear is a good idea. Rugby/ hockey/ football / army/walking boots are good. To be fair most people turn up in trainers. Please dress appropriately to the weather conditions.
Q. How long is a session?
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. You will get wet. The only
time we stop or cancel a day because of the weather would be for safety
reasons. Mainly if we have very high sustained winds of 30 mph or
above, or lightning in the area. In 21 years of running , we have only
pulled the plug on a day whilst playing once, and cancelled two days due
to predicted bad weather.
